They practice hard. They practice often. The workouts are exhausting. Teamwork, style and execution is rehearsed. There are no time-outs on game day. This team doesn't line up on either side of the ball. They work in four teams of six girls in each corner of the field. They are the Montreal Alouettes Cheerleaders. They reformed with the Alouettes in 1996 and have a history of their own. The cheerleading team is directed by Annie Larouche, who has been with the team since the beginning.

They are a tremendous team that provides fans with great entertainment on the field and are tirelessly making public appearances at promotional and charity events. They make more than 200 appearances consisting of visiting schools, hospitals, amateur sports teams and community events.

Each year begins with training camp, where as many as 200 girls try out. Like the Alouettes, the cheerleaders are a close-knit and experienced team. Practicing as much as 15 hours a week, they balance their busy daily lives with the life of being an Alouettes Cheerleader.
